Jesus does not promise us lives without trials and trouble. In fact, He guarantees we will face them on this side of Heaven. What He does promise is His presence in the midst of the trials and troubles we face. His presence is our hope and peace. "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
